Terroir: The Menut is comes from vineyards heavy in schist, next to the Mas Martinet proprietary plots.
Vinification: Native yeast fermentation for several months in concrete tank
Tasting Note: A little funky on the nose, with pretty aromas of tobacco, black pepper and wild spices with toasted oak top the black cherry and blackberry fruit. Lush blueberry and blackberry fruit on the palate, along with iron and mineral notes. This wine has terrific concentration for the price, and the lively acidity, along with the minerality from the schisty soil, makes for a great value from the Priorat!
