Drawn from vineyards on the Monterey peninsula, BOLD Wine Co. is a second project from Seabold Cellars. Established in 2014 by MS Chris Miller and winemaker Peter Figge, Seabold was founded with the focus of cool-climate wines made as hands-off and traditionally as possible.

- Terroir: Less the 100 yards off the Monterey Bay shoreline, the Blue Grand Canyon - at 60 miles long and 2 miles deep - is one of the world’s largest and deepest marine trenches. Its 300 cubic miles of frigid waters fuel the cold Salinas wind that funnels through the Gablian and Santa Lucia Ranges, creating a Thermal Rainbow - a large-scale temperature gradation drawn through the length of the Salinas Valley.
- Vinification: Hand-harvested at night. Upon entering the winery, the grapes are hand-sorted. Balestra is whole-cluster fermented, while Olson and Paraiso are de-stemmed. All native yeast fermentations.
- Aging: 15 months in neutral barrique before racking and blending, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. 18 barrels produced
- Tasting Notes: Fresh, mixed pink floral tones to the nose, and a light but tense core. Black and red cherries, overripe plums, and tarragon.
