Castello di Verduno 2018 'Rabaja' Barbaresco, Piedmont, Italy
Farming: Practicing organic
Winemaker/Chef du Cave: Mario Andrion
Castello di Verduno is the result of a marriage between Franco Bianco of Barbaresco and Gabriella Burlotto of Verduno. They petitioned and won the ability to make both Barolo and Barbaresco under one name, Castello di Verduno. They have two cantinas for winemaking, one is each zone, then all the wines are cellared at the castle in Verduno. They have fantastic sites in both Barolo (Monvigliero and Massara) and Barbaresco (Rabaja and Faset) plus they make a fantastic quirky light red wine from Verduno’s native grape Pelaverga Piccolo!
