Daniel Bouland 2021 'Corcellette Vieilles Vignes Cailloux' Morgon, Beaujolais, France

Perhaps he's not yet a "name brand" producer for Beaujolais, but we like it that way, because it means we can still get our hands on these amazing bottles! Daniel Bouland is a wonderful vigneron who makes splendidly traditional wines from several different terroirs throughout Morgon.
Winemaker: Daniel Bouland
Farming: Sustainable
Variety: Gamay
Terroir: Daniel’s classic Morgon, vines 60-80 year old vines from Sable and granite soils.
Vinification: Daniel’s classic Morgon, traditional fermentation in tank.
Aging: Combination of part of the cuvée being aged in tank and part in 2000 Liter Rousseau foudre.
Tasting Notes: From the famed Corcellette plot, this wine had brooding richness and a fine, silky texture across the palate. Bouland is able to balance expressive black fruits with rich, mineral depth, and a forest-like earthiness that makes you want to keep coming back for more.
