Terroir: Village of Monforte d’Alba, from the 6Ha vineyard cru of Bussia. Hilly area at about 300 Meters above sea level, facing Southwest. Elvezian with clayey and calcareous sediments, rich in iron. 70% 40-year-old vines and 30% 15-year-old vines
Vinification: Traditional method of long maceration: natural fermentation lasting for 40 days without added yeasts in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: 6 months in stainless steel tanks, 30 months in large capacity Slavonian oak barrels (35-50 hl) and subsequent refinement in the bottle
Tasting Notes: The color is intense garnet red and the scent is fine and pleasant, with intense hints of spicy rose and licorice. The flavor is dry, warm, full-bodied and balanced with pronounced tannins and a persistent aftertaste. A wine particularly suitable for aging.
