Terroir / Soil: Village of Wincheringen in the Upper Mosel. From limestone vineyards within 4km of the cellar
Vinification: 21-day cold fermentation (14-18 C) in stainless steel. The wine then go through malolactic fermentation before bottling. After malolactic, the Sekt is stored on its lees for 9-18 months before disgorgement. Methode champenoise, dosage 10-12 g/l
Tasting Notes: Dry and savory, this sparkling white wine is made from Elbling, a high acid white grape native to the upper Mosel. Aromas of green apple, pulverized stone and bay laurel are accented by a crisp, citrus-driven finish.
