In 1974, Jean Chiquet took over the House Jacquesson, founded in 1798, and his two sons Laurent and Jean-Hervé now run this House with its prestigious past. Cuvée N°747 from Jacquesson is crafted from the 2019 harvest, marked by a mild and dry winter followed by severe frosts in spring, significantly reducing Chardonnay yields. A scorching summer added further challenges, yet the resilience of Jacquesson's vineyard produced exceptional juice quality. The harvest was picked at optimum ripeness, resulting in wines noted for their structure, balance, and complexity.

  • Winemaker:  Laurent Chiquet
  • Farming: Sustainable viticulture practices, respecting parcel diversity and soil.
  • Variety: Dominated by Pinots with a reduced yield of Chardonnay.
  • Terroir: 75% from the Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, and Champillon terroirs, and 25% from the Avize and Oiry terroirs. Some reserve wines from the Domaine complete the blend.
  • Vinification: Traditional winemaking methods with no filtering or fining. Aged in foudres on lees with a subtle dosage of 1.5 g/L.
  • Tasting Note: Cuvée N°747 reveals remarkable complexity with mineral notes distinctive of the terroirs. The wine is structured and balanced, with a long, lingering finish.
