Based in the west Sonoma Coast, Peay Vineyards focuses on terroir-driven, single-variety wines that underscore the beautiful expressions of the coastline's rugged terroir.

Variety: Syrah (Clones: 28% Hermitage "Suitcase"; 9% Estrella River "Chapoutier"; 46% 470; 17% 174)
Terroir / Soil: 4 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, with a strong cool climate influence. Uplifted ancient seabed, mingles with sandy loam and hints of clay.
Vinification: 100% destemmed and aged on lees for 15 months in 100% old French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: La Bruma's nose leads with blackberry jam, black olive, and jasmine notes. A liquid ink flavor (what, you never had a pen explode in your mouth?) creeps into the round, silky mid-palate. The wine finishes with soft tannins and a smoky, bacon quality. It is ready to go on release, and has aging potential, though due to the warmer 2020, may be ready sooner than other vintages. 200 cases made.

DECANTsf may hold your shipment in the event of extreme weather or climate events. If shipping outside of California, you may select 2-, 3-, or Next Day Air for express shipping. All shipments will come with ice packs, but DECANTsf is not responsible for any weather-related damage.
