Perhaps he's not yet a "name brand" producer for Beaujolais, but we like it that way, because it means we can still get our hands on these amazing bottles! Daniel Bouland is a wonderful vigneron who makes splendidly traditional wines from several different terroirs throughout Morgon.
Winemaker: Daniel Bouland
Farming: Sustainable
Variety: Gamay
Terroir: The Pre Jourdan is a newly acquired Lieu-Dit located near Fleurie with 70 year old vines.
Vinification: Daniel’s classic Morgon, traditional fermentation in tank.
Aging: Tank and 2000-L Rousseau Foudre
Tasting Notes: A deep, emboldened representation of Morgon that glides across the palate black fruits, tilled soils noted and a mineral-driven finish. For fans of Dutraive or Foillard, this wine is highly recommended.
