Winemaker/Chef du Cave: Vincent Paris
Vincent Paris inherited most of his vines (some of which are 100 years old) from his grandfather and also rents vines from his uncle, (Robert Michel). Parcels are along the southeast facing Cornas slope are all farmed biodynamically, total 17 hectares. Vincent is also co-president of the Cornas AOC and recently inherited his uncle’s famed Geynale parcel of exceptionally old vines planted in 1910.
Grape Varieties: 100% Syrah
Soil Type: granite
Vinification/Oak Usage: Hand-harvested, mostly whole cluster vinification in (1/3) stainless steel and (2/3) barrel at low temperatures, using native yeasts. Aged in barrique up to 14-18 months. no fining or filtration prior to bottling.
